Happiness is a Warm Bath

I’ve been experimenting with bath salts this year. I’ve sent them to my daughters and friends for a variety of occasions. The massage therapist at my chiropractor’s office has encouraged me to spend more time soaking away my stress and stiffness. Since both of my daughters will be home for the holidays I purchased approximately a dozen different oils and we intend to spend a day mixing up new batches that they can take home. I hope the assortment in these large jars in our guest bathroom, will entice our guests to indulge in a luxurious soak.

Most of the time I use this recipe I found on The Idea Room

3 cups Epsom SaltsIMG_2923
2 cups Baking Soda
1 cup Kosher Salt
Food or soap coloring (optional)
Scented Essential Oils (2-4 drops)

To the above ingredients, I added organic lavender buds, one vanilla bean, and lavender coloring for my Lavender-Vanilla Bath Salts.


I also mixed up a batch of Rose Milk Bath Salts adding organic  rose petals, red food coloring, and 1 cup dried milk. I love how soft this makes my skin feel! So perfect for last minute gift giving!
